The Pantry Café at The Hershey Story will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offerings will include a wide variety of bagels and a unique selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads and homemade signature desserts. Fare also will include daily sandwich and salad specials, and seasonal items.
“Many guests have asked whether some popular Hershey Pantry items will be on the café’s menu,” said Colette McNitt, manager, The Pantry Café. “The café’s menu will include our famous baked oatmeal and dill chicken salad.” Serving Peet’s Coffee and Tea, The Pantry Café also boasts a coffee and smoothie bar.
“We’re excited to be working with a local business that has a long-time connection to Hershey and is well known for its good food and amazing desserts,” said Amy Bischof, director, The Hershey Story Museum.
In addition to the Hershey Pantry, seasoned restaurateurs Jim and Cindy Hess also own and operate Desserts, Etc. and Irv’s Pub, both located in Hershey. The Pantry Café at The Hershey Story is Hess’ fourth property and their first venue located in downtown Hershey.
“Our guests know us for great food and outstanding service,” said Cindy Hess, “and now we’re able to offer that in the heart of Hershey.”
Guests are not required to purchase admission to the museum to dine in the café. Since The Hershey Story opened, Café Zooka, under the management of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, has run the café operations.
