Duncannon - Old Sled Works

Duncannon, Perry County

Get out of the heat by spending a day playing classic arcade games at the Old Sled Works Antique & Craft Market in Duncannon. The Sled Works' Penny Arcade features over 50 games from as early as the 1920s, including vintage shooting galleries, pinball machines and movie machines. The coin-operated machines still work perfectly, and give you a chance to experience a classic boardwalk arcade this summer.

For 86 years, Duncannon's Old Sled Works was the site of Standard Novelty Works, a factory specializing in producing the Lightning Guider steel runner sled. Millions of the wooden sleds were built but eventually Lightning Guider production was halted. In the factory's place, owner Jimmy Rosen repurposed the location into a craft market of over 125 vendors, as well as opening the Soda Fountain and Penny Arcade. Old Sled Works is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10AM
