Harrisburg - Blue Ridge Sportsman Club

Try your hand at skeet shooting at Blue Ridge Sportsman Club's all-automatic sporting clay target course. The course is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with rounds of either 50 or 100 clays. 5-Stand wobble traps are also available.

Blue Ridge offers special events and competitive shoots throughout the year, including the Summer Blast Shoot and the Ned Smith Celebrity Classic.

In addition to sporting clay courses, Blue Ridge also features pistol and rifle ranges, archery targets and a catch and release fishing pond. Located at 1176 N. Fairville Avenue in Harrisburg, the Blue Ridge Sportsman Club offers daily rates for all of its facilities to the public and discounted rates for members. Mechanicsburg - Climbnasium

Go climbing at Central PA's premier indoor rock climbing facility, the Climbnasium in Mechanicsburg. Located just off the Carlisle Pike, Climbnasium offers a wide variety of walls and boulders to scale in a safe, indoor facility. Instructors will teach first time climbers how to belay, making sure that any climber who slips from the wall is caught by their safety rope and slowly brought back down to the ground. This encourages climbers to challenge themselves as they attempt to solve difficult hold arrangements, and allows new climbers to attempt walls of up to 40 feet high.

The Intro Course to belaying for first time climbers is $35, and day passes for climbing walls are $14. In addition to daily climbs, Climbnasium offers birthday parties, group rates, and an official climbing team. For more information, visit:

Located in Elysburg, PA, Knoebels is an a la carte theme park where admission, parking, entertainment and picnic facilities are all free.
