Throughout the summer, from May 17 to October 13, 2013, the Antique Auto Museum in Hershey will have the Pop Culture and Cars show, an exhibit featuring popular culture items alongside popular cars of the 1950s—1970s. Some of the memorabilia is on loan from Mr. B Entertainment, USA Theatres, Old Sled Works and The Atomic Warehouse, and their contributions help bring the exhibit together with memories of poodle skirts, Elvis Presley, drive-in movies, diners, sock hops, peace signs, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and more.
Of the many cars on display, there will be two “Superfly cars” courtesy of Les Dunham. The Cadillac El Dorado Superfly car was used in “Fort Apache, The Bronx” and the Corvorado was featured in both “Live and Let Die” and “Superman The Movie”. There will also be the 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans-AM from “Smokey and the Bandit” that Burt Reynolds first owned. A complete list of the vehicles on display can be found online. The Antique Auto Museum is located at 161 Museum Drive in Hershey.
