The Mayor’s Office of Special Events (MOOSE) will hold their annual Celebrate Lancaster festival on Friday, June 28, 2013 in downtown Lancaster to celebrate the cultural and diverse people who live and work in Lancaster.
Celebrate Lancaster brings over 15,000 people to downtown Lancaster and features great entertainment, food and an amazing fireworks display. Additionally, two beer and wine tasting areas will be part of the event, one adjacent to the Penn Square stage and one across from the main stage at Binns Park. Both stages will have live entertainment from bluegrass, Latino, and R&B to rock n’ roll and more. Artists include Matt Wheeler and the Vintage Heart, Brother Joscephus and the Love Revolution, Luisito Rosario, Mark DeRose, the Dreadnought Brigade, The Klezwoods, and What Cheer? Brigade.
Binns Park is located on North Queen Street in downtown Lancaster, between West Chestnut and West Orange Streets. Penn Square is located on the corner of South Queen and East King Streets, a block and a half away.
