On June 7, 2014, the traveling exhibit, RACE, will open at the North Museum of Natural History and Science in Lancaster. Presented in collaboration with the YWCA Lancaster, the exhibit will explore human variation through science, history and lived experience. Visitors of the museum will be able to learn about the misconceptions of race, and how human variation has shaped our culture.
The North Museum offers discussion circles for groups wishing to further explore this fascinating exhibit. Led by facilitators from the YWCA Lancaster, this is a powerful opportunity helps the group explore racism, equality, diversity, prejudice, social justice, ethnic and cultural differences, and ways to make things better.
The RACE exhibit will be on display through Sunday, September 28, 2014. The North Museum of Natural History and Science is located at 400 College Avenue in Lancaster. Tickets for the museum are free for members and up to $7.50 for non-members. For additional information, visit www.NorthMuseum.org.
