From Wednesday, June 4 through Wednesday, July 9, 2014, an exhibition of oil paintings by Dana Sink will be on display at the PCCA Gallery, the storefront for the Perry County Council of the Arts.
“Dana Sink’s oil paintings are an expression and interpretation of the space that surrounds him. Analogous to how the mind and body move through the world, Sink’s paintings have often included architectural elements including pathways and stairways. Sink’s paintings have been influenced by renaissance paintings, MC Escher prints, and Piranesi etchings. Most recently, Sink has found himself influenced by his most recent passion – his two year old daughter and, of course, the toys that she plays with.”
The Perry County Council of the Arts Gallery is located at 1 South Second Street in Newport and is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For additional information, visit www.PerryCountyArts.org.
