Held in the Downtown Hershey Event Tent next to The Hershey Story, the Market offers locally-grown and prepared foods, wine, seasonal potted and fresh-cut flowers, and work by area artisans. Local musicians also provide entertainment during the farmers market.
Farmers Market on Chocolate will share the stage with the Hershey Partnership’s Annual Soup Cook Off on Saturday, October 3. The Soup Cook Off benefits the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company.
After the final farmers market closes at 1 p.m. on October 17, many of the Farmers Market on Chocolate vendors will also share specials at the new fall festival, Choctoberfest, which will run from noon until 6 p.m. in the park at Chocolatetown Square. The event will feature food from local restaurants, children’s games and activities, live music by several bands, a Troegs biergarten and a few local wineries. The community is then invited to a free dance party back under the tent from 6 to 9 p.m.
