On Saturday, July 26, 2014, The Hanover Dutch Festival will be held in Centre Square on Carlisle Street in Hanover. This is the 30th annual event, and will feature more than 300 arts and crafts vendors with all handmade works, food vendors, children’s activities, live German entertainment, an antique and classic car show, and more. The festival will be held rain or shine and will be open from 8 AM to 4 PM.
On Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 3 – 7 p.m., the Dauphin County Brew Fest will be held at Fort Hunter Park in Harrisburg. This annual event is presented by Dauphin County Parks and Recreation, and features over 30 craft brews available for guests to sample. The Kutztown Folk Festival is the oldest continuously operated folklife festival in America. Guests can enjoy the traditions of the Pennsylvania Dutch with the largest quilt sale in America, a quilt auction of top prize-winning quilts, music and entertainment, delicious food, children’s activities.
On Saturday, June 21, 2014, Shippensburg Arts Programming Education (SHAPE) will be hosting their 9th Annual SHAPE Solstice Arts Festival at the Shippensburg Township Park, located at 304 Britton Road. All day long during this free festival, there will be artists displaying, selling and demonstrating their work. Some of the art will include pottery, glass blowing, fiber arts, painting, photography, jewel-crafting, and sculpture. There will also be live music and entertainment throughout the day on the amphitheater stage.
